Darwin-based guitarist, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Adam Scriven captivates audiences with his vibrant performances, often accompanied by an array of guitars, harmonicas, foot percussion, guitar pedals and the yidaki (didgeridoo). His passion for music is infectious, and his conscious, uplifting lyrics, paired with intricate fingerpicking and a distinctive self-taught guitar style, create a diverse and dynamic live solo show.
Adam's extensive performance history includes notable appearances at Glastonbury and Shambala Festivals in England, as well as Woodford and the National Folk Festivals in Australia. He is also a familiar face at Darwin's iconic Mindil Beach Sunset Markets, where his heartfelt delivery resonates with audiences from far and wide.
Originally from England, Adam discovered his love for music while traveling through Australia at the age of twenty-one. He began his musical journey as a self-taught percussionist and didgeridoo player before transitioning to guitar and singing, marking the evolution of the multi-talented performer he is today.
As a dedicated independent musician, Adam released his first EP Live Love and Learn in 2013 and his debut album Paved in Gold in 2017, showcasing an eclectic mix of sounds and instruments while staying true to his acoustic roots. From 2013 to 2019, he toured extensively across Australia, England, and mainland Europe, covering countless miles to bring his music to diverse venues, from bustling festivals to intimate backyard gatherings.
Now firmly rooted in Darwin, Adam is a dedicated player in the local music scene, averaging over one hundred shows a year at some of the Northern Territory's most idyllic venues and events. His commitment to his craft and his engaging performances make him a standout artist, continually inspiring and connecting with audiences everywhere he goes.
